One of my favorite things to do in the slower season is to look back at past sessions while updating my website. Especially as winter comes to an end and I’m desperately longing for warmer weather. (Can you feel the drama in my words?) In all seriousness, Maymont in the summer is my personal favorite! With the never ending flowers, greenery everywhere you turn, and best of all warm weather! Give me an engagement session on a weekday… SWOON. I’m not kidding, when Julie and Phillip listed Tuesdays as an option- picture me just melting into the floor! (Weekdays at Maymont are generally less busy and that’s a photographer’s dream!)
Julie and Phillip joined me at Maymont and knocked this engagement session out of the park! There’s so many unique background options at Maymont, all of which are swoon worthy. So, we walked around taking it all in and getting to know each other while taking their incredible engagement pictures. They are both SO much fun to be around and had me laughing so hard behind the camera on several occasions! Their wedding this spring is going to be epic and I can’t wait to capture it!
Fun fact: We almost got locked inside of Maymont (they take their closing hours very seriously, understandably). BUT the end of the sunset was calling our names so we found a fun spot right outside the gates, and took some of my favorite pictures ever!!
